Embrace a calm, positive state of mind in addition to going to dependence meetings.  It takes a great deal of courage and personal strength to walk the path of recovery.  Sure, there will be days when you feel depressed, wistful or even bitter.  Understand that this is normal and temporary, but that it is up to you to recognize these feelings and find a way to channel this negative energy into something positive.  Write about all the good things that you are now able to enjoy. Take up a hobby or listen to a motivational CD.  As long as you redirect these feelings into healthier activities that do not involve the computer, you will be successful in your recovery.

Find a quiet place to meditate or adopt an exercise program. Physical activity is a great way to stimulate the mind, release ‘feel-good’ endorphins and condition the body.  Join the local community center and sign up for a regularly scheduled class like spinning.  porn probably kept you isolated and cloistered in shame. Make it the best two hours possible with a big bowl of popcorn. Sit back and enjoy the show.

Recovery is a day to day progress.  Be proud of the accomplishments you have made so far. Mark each day in recovery on a calendar you can reference daily.  You will be amazed at how far you have come as the days begin to add up. Step One: Foresee
